"Lǎozǐ" vs. "Láozǐ"

Shouldn't it read "Lǎozǐ" instead of "Láozǐ"? It's true that it's pronounced as the latter because of the tone sandhi, but I believe that this is conventially not reflected in the pinyin, which shows the pronounciations of the characters themselves, before sandhi. --JimR 21:26, 21 December 2009 (EST)

Hmm, maybe. I think mine is right, but I will check on it. I was distracted when I wrote that, maybe it is a mistake.--Wuhao1911 21:37, 21 December 2009 (EST)
Well, I know that's how it was on my vocab lists back when I took Chinese, and Wikipedia does it that way too. But neither of those is really authoritative, so I'll defer to your superior knowledge on this one. Great work on these pages! --JimR 21:44, 21 December 2009 (EST)
