Alan Mark Grayson (born March 13, 1958 in Bronx, New York) is a Democratic U.S. Representative from Florida's 8th congressional district, having been elected by a 52%-48% margin in the 2008 election. Grayson spent a career as a lawyer, and was ranked the 12th-wealthiest member of Congress. He currently serves on the Committee on Financial Services and the Committee on Science and Technology.

• In his first month in office he refered to radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh as a "has-been loser."

• During a floor speech on health care Grayson stated that "Republicans want you to die quickly." After calls to apologize, Grayson said that "I apologize to the dead and their families that we haven’t voted sooner to end this holocaust in America."

• In October 2009, Grayson called an adviser for Federal Reserves Chairman Ben Bernanke a "K Street whore."

• In an interview on MSNBC's Hardball, Grayson said that "I have trouble listening to what [Cheney] says sometimes because of the blood that drips from his teeth while he’s talking, but my response is this: he’s just angry because the president doesn’t shoot old men in the face. But by the way, when he was done speaking, did he just then turn into a bat and fly away?" Later on an interview on the same program, he told former Vice President Cheney to STFU, an abbreviation for "shut the f-ck up."

• In December 2009 Grayson called for a conservative activist to be jailed for launching a website criticizing him.
