Albert Henry Ross
Albert Henry Ross (1881-1950), a journalist and novelist who grew up in Stratford-on-Avon, England[1]. Under the pseudonym Frank Morison, Ross wrote âWho moved the stone?â an analysis of texts surrounding the events regarding the crucifixion of Jesus of Nazerath. Ross claimed to be a skeptic regarding the resurrection of Jesus, and set out to analyse the sources so as to demonstrate the apparent myth. In compiling his notes, he came to be convicted of the truth of the myth. There is some criticism of Rossâ work in the book. Some say that Ross was never really skeptical of Christianity and merely embraces orthodox beliefs, never really challenging the authenticity of the texts[2]. Many have claimed to have become Christian after reading âWho Moved the Stone?â and some have used the work as a reference for more work on the subject[3].
