The purpose of the National Organization for Marriage (NOM) is to protect the institution of heterosexual marriage and the faith communities that sustain it. NOM develops political messaging, strategy, and funding to support traditional marriage throughout the United States, and serves as a resource for marriage-related initiatives at state and local levels.
