Jose Contreras

Jose Contreras is a Major League Baseball pitcher for the Chicago White Sox. He defected from Cuba in 2002 while pitching in Mexico for the Cuban National Team. He signed a contract with the New York Yankees in 2002. In 2004, he was traded to the White Sox in 2004 in exchange for Esteban Loiza. He is currently playing for the Charlotte Knights.
