- Marie Sklodowska Curie (physicist/chemist) - discovered radium, namesake of curium
- Lise Meitner (physicist)
- Emma Noether (mathematician)
- Sophie Germain (mathematician)
- Ida Noddack (physicist)
- Jocelyn Bell (astronomer)
