James "Jim" C. Smith (born 1941) is a lawyer who currently serves as a counsel for Panza, Maurer & Maynard, P.A and is a shareholder for Smith & Ballard. He also sits on the Board of Trustees for Florida State University. A Republican, Smith served as Attorney General of the state of Florida from 1979 through 1987 and Florida Secretary of State from 1987 through 1995.
