David Wu (b. 1955) represents Oregon's first congressional district. He is a Democrat and a liberal. Wu's parents were born in Communist China, and emigrated to Taiwan where David was born. The family then emigrated to the United States. Wu is a graduate of Stanford University and Yale law school. He was elected to the House of Representatives in 1998, and has been re-elected six times since then.
Wu has made national news several times for his bizarre behavior. He likely will lose his Congressional seat due to sexual charges that he does not deny. [1]
