John Nance Garner

John Nance Garner (1868-1967) was the first Vice President under Franklin D. Roosevelt. He was Vice President from 1933 to 1941. He opposed Franklin D. Roosevelt being nominated for a third term causing him not to run as his running mate in the 1940 election. He died at the age of 99. [1]
