Is it strictly necessary to mention the Mayflower at all? Conservative viewpoints do not necessarily require an Americo-centric position. Southampton is vastly more famous for being the port from which the Titanic set sail, amongst many other historical occurences, including various invasions of France (notably Henry V set off from Southampton.) It also has an historic city wall, and some exceptionally good quality medieval city defenses, including old gun towers.
- If it is notable, factual and interesting why not? Why should more fame for something else exclude this fact? DavidMilton 19:04, 30 August 2011 (EDT)
