2012 Republican Primary

The 2012 Republican Primary is the Republican Party's primary to decide who will run against Obama in the 2012 presidential election. Currently, there are four candidates in the running: Mitt Romney, conservative Rick Santorum, conservative Newt Gingrich and libertarian Ron Paul. Right now Romney is ahead in most polls, but many Republicans hope a more conservative candidate will gain the nomination.
