Protest song

A protest song is a song written to bring about social change. They are often written for causes such as anti-war causes, feminism, animal rights, vegitarianism, and socialism. One of the most famous protest songs is "The Internationale". Another is Bruce Springsteen's "Born in the USA, which was written as a protest against the Vietnam War.
