Christianity is the largest religion in Europe.[1] For many long centuries, Europe was the heart of Christendom. Today, Christianity more manifestly shines as the universal religion it always was, by demonstrably permeating every continent and country. Many of the Pauline Epistles are to Churches in Europe, including Romans and 1 Corinthians and 2 Corinthians.

Roman Catholicism in Europe

The Eastern Orthodox Churches are one denomination under the Ecumenical Patriarch of Constantinople, the first among equals. Most of its churches are Autocephalous(self governing).
