The abortion mentality is an anti-life belief system that includes promoting abortion and also promoting other abortion-like activities, such as use of embryonic stem cells, while discouraging alternatives, such as use of adult stem cells. People with the abortion mentality typically deny the effectiveness of abstinence only sex education and also tend to completely dismiss the idea of the traditional solution to an unwanted pregnancy which is adoption.
Under the abortion mentality, abortion itself can become a rite of passage by which college students are initiated into the belief system and then effectively owned by this anti-life belief system for their entire lives.
