Adolf Hitler was the Chancellor of the Weimar Republic of Germany (1933-1937) and Fuhrer(Dictator) in the Third Reich(1937-1945)

Birth and pre political life

He was born in 1889 in Austria. He immigrated to Germany and served as an enlisted soldier in the Imperial Army in World War I. He also worked as a painter.

Orator

Hitler was a great orator who made the people of Germany believe that he could lead them out of their economic problems. He also inspired a strong sense of nationalism and racism in the German people.

Beer Hall incident

Hitler joined Erich Ludendorff in Munich. Ludendorff was planning a revolt against the provincial governor in a small beer hall. In the ensuing fight with the Army, Hitler escaped being shot, because he tripped and fell right before soldiers opened fire.

Election of 1933

The newly formed Nazi party, which he dominated, selected him as its candidate for Chancellor in the 1933 election, to face off against the Socialists(Sozis). The Nazi paramilitary force staged a massive campaign of violence in the days before the election. This and his persuasive style of speaking are often credited for his victory.

Fire in the Reichstag

In 1937, a fire occurred in the Reichstag building, which Hitler utilized to grant himself absolute power and end the Weimar Republic.

Dutch Royal Wedding

Princess Juliana of the Netherlands had a wedding, for which invitations were sent to every head of state, except Hitler. When he inquired why he was not invited, Queen Wilhelmina informed him that they didn't invite painters. This snubbing is believed to have started his hatred for the Dutch.

Jewish blood

Hitler had a check done on his paternal grandfather, who's race he didn't know. It was found that he was a Jew. These results were ordered to be kept secret by Hitler.

Final Solution

The Final Solution to the Jewish Question in Europe was implemented by a government of a modern Western state to exterminate people of Jewish ancestry throughout Germany and all its occupied territories. Approximately six million people of all ages--men, women and children, were systematically murdered under a policy directed by Adolf Hitler. Other groups of "undesirables" and "asocials" were also targeted and killed.

Marriage

He married Eva Braun, on 29 April 1945 in Berlin.

Suicide

On 30 April 1945 as the Russians overran Berlin, Hitler and Eva disappeared to a bunker and committed suicide.
