Andrew Schlafly, a wanker

Andrew Schlafly is a conservative lawyer and former engineer. Mr. Schlafly is also the founder of Conservapedia.

I’m only 14 years old and I can rebut these ‘Q Evolution’ arguments. Imagine how easy it would be for an evolutionary biologist. 1. How did life originate? The early earth 4 billion years ago was perfect for the formation of amino acids and amino acid compounds. 2. How did the DNA code originate? DNA is made of amino acids. Put 2 and 2 together. 3. How do slight mutations create a huge volume of information...? DNA has a huge amount of possible combinations- and it had just as many possible combinations 4 billion years ago. That huge volume of information was there when the first simple, self-replicating DNA molecule evolved. 4. Why is natural selection taught as evolution? Are they running out of things to think of or something? Natural selection is the basis of evolution, clearly. 5. How did new biochemical pathways...? Another ‘complexity’ argument. Over billions of years of progressive evolution. How many times are we going to get this complexity argument, in some different form? I bet there’s going to be a couple more 6. Living things look like they were designed? Please, that’s probably the weakest argument so far. So what? 4 billion years of evolution makes an organism specially adapted and biologically capable of living in its environment. OF COURSE it looks like it was designed. 7. How did multi-cellular life originate? Basically the complexity argument in a different form. The development of multi-cellular life was a big step in our evolutionary history. 8. How did sex originate? When an organism asexually reproduces, any genetic faults are carried on down into future generations. Sexual reproduction ensures that no genetic faults (which are usually recessive) are passed down, as the sexual partner would almost certainly have the dominant, normal gene. 9. Missing transitional fossils. 1. The fossil record is like a book with loads of lines missing. 2. In the recent fossil record there are plenty of transitional fossils- (thank you Wikipedia) Australopithecine, Homo Erectus, Homo Neanderthalis, Homo heidelbergensis, Homo rhodesiensis, Homo antecessor, Homo ergaster. 10. That’s possibly the most stupid argument any creationist has ever used. Because the living fossils are perfectly adapted to their environment so they don’t need to evolve. Duh! 11. The meaning of life, as asked on this section, is simple. There’s only one life so live it best as you can 12. ‘Evolutionary just-so story’. What? I think these idiots are really struggling for 15 points 13. Where are the scientific breakthroughs? Err.. evolutionary biology IS a massive scientific breakthrough. It has transformed our understanding of biology. 14. ‘Evolution isn’t observed’. What would you call remote islands with distinct species found nowhere else in the world? That is essentially an observation of evolution. 15. No, evolution isn’t a religion. It’s an accepted scientific theory with abundant evidence, unlike the unscientific, faith-based, evidence-absent pathetic nonsense that the least intelligent half of society cling on to.

Andrew Schlafly is the fifth child of attorney John Fred Schlafly, Jr. and noted political activist Phyllis Schlafly. His great-grandfather, August Schlafly, was founder of the Union Trust and Savings Bank of East St. Louis, Ill., the First National Bank of Edwardsville, Ill., and other banks in Western states. [1]

He graduated from Princeton University with a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science and from Harvard Law School as an attorney. A magna cum laude graduate from Harvard Law School, he was an editor of the Harvard Law Review. [2]

He teaches one of the largest homeschool classes in the country, including one class in fall 2006 with 58 students in World History. In spring 2007 he taught Economics.

Conservapedia developed as a result of his World History course. Andrew Schlafly and several of his top students continue to lead the project, and most of his students have contributed entries to it.

Andrew Schlafly has taught homeschoolers online since the late 1990s, and in person since fall 2002. Several of Andrew Schlafly's prior course materials are available on Eagle Forum University.
