The Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church is a conservative Reformed Denomination formed from the merger of the Associate (Seceder) and most of the Reformed Presbyterian (Covenanter) churches in Philadelphia in 1782. It is the oldest of the Presbyterian Churches in the United States. The ARPC professes adherence to the Westminster Standards, although it is generally slightly more liberal than the Orthodox Presbyterian Church and shows very strong similarities with the Presbyterian Church in America. The ARPC enjoys good relations with both these denominations, however.
