Ballot harvesting is a method of ballot box stuffing. Under the old law in many states, to obtain an absentee ballot required a voter signature and the signatures of two witnesses. With the requirement for two witness signatures eliminated, political operatives can obtain lists of inactive voters, which are publicly available. From these lists an absentee ballot can be obtained with a forged signature, then returned to a polling station by election day. In the 2018 midterm elections, tens and hundreds of thousands of harvested ballots in several states were returned.
Ballot harvesting has become the Democrats' preferred method to steal elections.[1] The Heritage Foundation calls it the “tool of choice for vote thieves.” The convenient, innovative, and beloved mail-in ballot has been a source of contention due to its vulnerability to manipulation.[2]
