Bonham is a city in Texas, located northeast of Dallas near the border with Oklahoma.

It was the home of longtime House Speaker Sam Rayburn.

The city is named for James Bonham, one of the defenders of the Alamo who sought the assistance of James Fannin (who was at Goliad at the time) to assist in the defense (Fannin was unable to send aid). As a nod to Texas history, Bonham is the county seat of Fannin County.
