Catholic-lite

Catholic-lite is a relatively common term used to describe the nature of the Episcopal Church in the United States, or Anglicanism in general. It was coined by the late comedian Robin Williams, [1] who identified as an Episcopalian. It refers to the fact that the Roman Catholic Church shares some traditions with Anglicanism, even if Anglicanism is still a Protestant or "reformed catholic" tradition. This term serves as a helpful descriptor for those unfamiliar with Anglicanism but familiar with Roman Catholicism.
