Internet Explorer is a web browser developed by Microsoft. It has been included with Windows since its first release on August 16, 1995. Until Windows 10, it was the default browser. Due to security issues, it has been replaced by Microsoft Edge in Windows 10, although it is still retained for compatibility reasons.
