Kavanaugh smear refers to the unsubstantiated slander made against Judge Brett Kavanaugh by liberals and anti-originalists upset of the prospect of losing the U.S. Supreme Court for the first time since 1934.

Several factors point to the allegations against Kavanaugh being false:

  • Despite knowing of the allegations against Judge Kavanaugh for several weeks and having the opportunity to get to the truth during the regular hearings, Senate Democrats stayed silent about them until the last possible moment. Afterward, they refused to hold a fair hearing, opting instead to consider Kavanaugh guilty with no evidence.[1]
  • Dozens of women who knew Kavanaugh well as early as his time in high schools have attested to him being very respectful toward women.[2][3] The alleged witnesses that Ford named all affirmed that the event did not happen.[4][5] Meanwhile, despite Democrats obsessing over the allegations, they defended people useful to their cause such as Bill Clinton, Harvey Weinstein, and Keith Ellison.[6] Victims of rape, such as Juanita Broaddrick, disputed Ford's account.[7]
  • Despite claiming to want to testify, Ford balked when Senate Republicans actually tried to find a time for her to come, and then she demanded outrageous and unprecedented conditions in order to attend.[8]
