Kirby (ESRB ratings: E) is a family-friendly platform game series produced by Nintendo, it features the character Kirby, a pink blob with legs, feet and face who in almost every game of the series has the ability to copy enemies' special abilities by swallowing them; he also has the ability to float. He is the hero of a fantasy world called Pop Star, and his adventures usually consist of spoiling the evil King Dedede's plans.

Most games in the series feature side-scrolling levels reminiscent of Super Mario Bros.. Throughout the game, the player is required to find and use special abilities in order to solve puzzles and finish the level. Occasionally the player must obtain secret items to achieve a 100% completion rating for the area.

The series also contains various games in genres other than platformer.
