L'Osservatore Romano (English: The Roman Observer) is the semi-official newspaper of the Holy See. It has been published since 1861. It is published daily and weekly in Italian, weekly in a number of languages and monthly in Polish.

One mistake journalists often make is to interpret the texts published as the official views of the Holy See, which they are not.
