Leo the Lion is a constellation, located at right ascension 11 h, declination 15 degrees. Leo contains Regulus, one of the sky's brightest stars (absolute magnitude -0.52).

Leo is also the fifth sign of the zodiac, and falls between Cancer and Virgo. As a sun sign, it represents the dates of July 23 through August 21.
