The Los Angeles Times is a well known liberal newspaper based in Los Angeles. Serving a large metropolitan market, it has one of the highest circulations of any newspaper nationwide and even reaches into other parts of southern California, having a version for San Diego county for instance.
First published as the Los Angeles Daily Times, it was founded in 1881 and has won 37 Pulitzer Prizes through 2004.
