Hercule Poirot, the famous fictional Belgian detective is called on to solve a murder that occurred in the train the night before:

Not far from Belgrade, the luxurious Paris-Constantinople train, the Orient Express, is halted by a snow storm. An American millionaire is found dead in his compartment.
