Ramallah is a city in the central West Bank adjacent to Al-Bireh. It is located 13 km north of Jerusalem. Since 1993, it has served as the administrative capital of the Palestinian Authority, created as a result of the Oslo Accords and renamed in 2013 by decree of PNA Chairman Mahmoud Abbas to the State of Palestine, which is a partially recognized state by 140 countries. The population: is 84,000 people. (2019). Approximately half the population is Christian Arabs and the other half is Muslim Arabs.[1]
