Rasmussen Reports is an electronic media company specializing in the collection, publication, and distribution of public opinion polling information.

Scott Rasmussen, president of Rasmussen Reports, has been an independent pollster for more than a decade. Like the company he started, Rasmussen maintains his independence and has never been a campaign pollster or consultant for candidates seeking office. Scott grew up in the broadcast business before turning to polling.[1]

FiveThirtyEight has rated Rasmussen C+ and claims it has a 1.5% Republican bias[2] while the polling agency states it was “one of the most accurate polls in 2016” and that it accurately sampled Trump voters.[3] It cites as evidence the 2016 RCP polling average showing Rasmussen Reports as accurate.[4]

Rasmussen Reports' latest "White House Watch" poll, as of August 19, 2020, shows Joe Biden four percentage points ahead of Trump nationally, which indicates a close race for the electoral college.[5]
