Your account has been promoted to blocking privileges now. Congratulations! Short blocks, such as only 3 months rather than 5 years, are preferred in almost all cases. Thanks.--Andy Schlafly (talk) 10:49, 26 August 2020 (EDT)

Thanks, it's been a pleasant surprise to discover a conservative encyclopedia. Which reminds me, perhaps a "conservative alternatives to liberal X [websites, businesses, etc.]" would be a good article topic? For example, we are the conservative alternative to WP, and Parler is a conservative alternative to Twitter. But then "Businesses boycotted by conservatives" would be another one... Congratulations on the promotion! Also, a belated welcome! It seems to me like an "alternatives to" article might be good, but I'm not sure how best that would be done. It seems like it would be better to avoid making dozens, or even hundreds of pages like "conservative alternatives to Facebook" but maybe we could group them up somewhat? (Also, don't forget about Gab as another social media alternative.) --DavidB4 (TALK) 19:43, 27 August 2020 (EDT)
DavidB4, yes, I've heard of Gab, but I've also heard of a lot of criticism about the website, so I wasn't sure what Conservapedia editors think of it. The criticism is probably just the usual criticism from the Left and the media, but, as I don't use Gab, I couldn't say for sure. By all means it could be on the list. Another one I'm thinking is necessary is 2020 California fire season. The California article doesn't mention fires at the moment. TrumpConservative (talk) 10:04, 12 September 2020 (EDT)
Hi, TC. My name is Ed. I've been around here for several years, although I'm not as active as David or Rob.
But my first ever online article was about the California blackouts caused by their counterproductive policies - such as requiring utilities to pay MORE for wholesale electricity than they were allowed to sell it for! Could you look into this, as regards the current situation? For example, are there any environmental policies that are making the California wildfires worse than they naturally would be? --Ed Poor Talk 10:14, 12 September 2020 (EDT)
The article link to California blackouts is a redlink, apparently. [It's a redirect now.]
I'm no expert in this field, but I know President Trump has criticized the state for not using certain techniques to prevent fires. Here's an article from The Hill that seems to explain Trump's criticisms. Arson has also been mentioned as a possible cause for the fires, along with PG&E as everyone knows. My understanding is that PG&E is more or less a monopoly in much of the state and has close ties to the state government, and has declared bankruptcy. Liberal policies building towns such as Paradise in forested regions is perhaps the main reason these fires cause fatalities and evacuations, though. Conservative policies in the mold of Roosevelt, protecting national forests and parks, would help in my opinion. TrumpConservative (talk) 10:20, 12 September 2020 (EDT)
(Conservative doesn't exactly equal conservation, but they are related.) I will certainly contribute to the new article California wildfires when I can. TrumpConservative (talk) 10:24, 12 September 2020 (EDT)
