Robert Brady (born April 7, 1945 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) has served as the Democratic U.S. Representative from Pennsylvania's 1st congressional district since 1998. He currently serves on the Armed Services Committee, and Ranking Member of the Committee on House Administration.

In January 2011, after U.S. Representative Gabrielle Giffords (D-Arizona) was the target of assassination, Brady proposed making it a federal crime to use "language or symbols that could be perceived as threatening or inciting violence against a federal official or member of Congress." [1][2]
