Schlockumentary is a term referring to documentary films that use junk science, dishonest editing, and/or highly biased research methods intended to arrive at partisan or conspiratorial conclusions. [1]

Origins

Schlockumentary is a word that combines Yiddish schlock, or junk [2], with documentary.

Schlockumentary is a lexical change made up of larger parts (sometimes whole parts) of words, usually initial syllables of other words, sometimes the first part of one word and the last part of another, combined into a pronounceable word. [3]
