Cho Seung-Hui was a student of English at Virginia Tech who murdered 32 people on April 16, 2007, and then commited suicide by shooting himself in the head. Seung-Hui was a South Korean national, in America on an F-1 student Visa.[1]

His creative writing teacher said she notified authorities about Cho based on disturbing writings that he had submitted as classwork, but said she was told that there would be too many legal hurdles to intervene. [1]

Cho Seung-Hui used legally purchased 9 mm caliber handgun and .22 caliber pistol to commit the crimes at Virginia Tech.[2]

Amongst the victims was a 75-year-old Holocaust survivor[3].
