Morley Safer of CBS 60 Minutes described Bryen as the "Pentagon's top cop," entrusted with the task of preserving the nation's technological edge. Time magazine described Bryen as the "Yoda of the arms trade". Bryen is the former President of Delta Tech Inc. and Finmeccanica North America. Bryen was the founder and first head of the Defense Technology Security Administration.
