After Switchfoot announced their new record label, they started to build their own studio in their hometown, San Diego, California. It was completed in spring, 2008 and soon after, Switchfoot started to record new songs. The first song to be recorded at the new studio was “This Is Home,” for the movie The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian. Currently, Switchfoot is in the studio's 7th album, recording their new album entitled "Hello Hurricane, which is to be " was released in 2009. However, due to the mass amounts of songs Switchfoot has written, the band also announced that they will follow up the release of ''Hello Hurricane'' with another new album called This was followed by ''Vice Verses''. This album is set for release , released in 20102011. Today, Switchfoot is touring the United States and continuing to make their music known.
