Ed, There is a type of cover-up that is a result of accumulated acceptances of the commonly held and either an unwillingness or resistance to see things otherwise. An example is the History Channel documentary. They originally had KAL 007 plunging inyo the sea immediately after "being hit". When I showed them the documentation, apparently after filming but at least a month before showing, there was a "gruding" rectification. They made the plane horizontal for 2 seconds, but in doing that the clouds were placed on an angle! Then the plane was made to resume its plunge. But they did not draw the evident implications that the transcripts which were made availabe to them required. That 2 second straight flight was 5 minutes only to descend over Moneron - which they made no mention of! I think that what they were covering up, at least, was their own resistance to admitting they had been mistaken and , of course, the bother and the expense of making a remake. But they were informed.
