Bert, I don't meant to discredit or offend here, but there are a few statements which might need sources. For instance, the sentences "And we are also able to learn what the Soviets saw on their screen both before and during that flicker. To their amazement, shock, and horror, they saw KAL 007, flying, maneuvering, and in level flight, and escaping!" probably should have a citation. Bert, looks like another typical coverup. --Ed Poor Talk 14:17, 10 November 2008 (EST)

Ed, There is a type of cover-up that is a result of accumulated acceptances of the commonly held and either an unwillingness or resistance to see things otherwise. An example is the History Channel documentary. They originally had KAL 007 plunging inyo the sea immediately after "being hit". When I showed them the documentation, apparently after filming but at least a month before showing, there was a "gruding" rectification. They made the plane horizontal for 2 seconds, but in doing that the clouds were placed on an angle! Then the plane was made to resume its plunge. But they did not draw the evident implications that the transcripts which were made availabe to them required. That 2 second straight flight was 5 minutes only to descend over Moneron - which they made no mention of! I think that what they were covering up, at least, was their own resistance to admitting they had been mistaken and , of course, the bother and the expense of making a remake. But they were informed. They knew!Bert Schlossberg 16:31, 10 November 2008 (EST)

Is this a direct quote from somewhere, or the author's own words? Are reviews valid encyclopedic content? (And do we really need yet another article about the KAL 007?) HelpJazz 15:11, 10 November 2008 (EST)

These are the author's own words.Bert Schlossberg 16:15, 10 November 2008 (EST)

HJ, as far as I'm concerned Bert can create as many articles as he wants. He's just about the only actual Author in this project! :-) --Ed Poor Talk 18:09, 10 November 2008 (EST)
