Also, Russia needs to focus on diversifying its economy to make it more resilient for the long term and more prosperous long-term (The easy to get oil will be running out by 2035 according to Oil.com if memory serves). The oil-rich United Arab Emirates was much smarter than Russia when it came to diversifying its economy and that partly explains why it is an upper income country and Russia is stuck in a [[middle-income trap]].
