/* Why is main page right cluttered up with a lot of de-dollarization tripe in 2024 when the USA dollar index is up about 5% in 2024? */
:And your "dollar index" is hardly representative of global trends, being that major energy producers 0 Russia, Iran, and Venezuela - are excluded from it due to sanctions. [[User:RobSmith|RobS]][[User talk:RobSmith|''The Truth. Just Putin It Out There'']] 20:05, May 8, 2024 (EDT)

::De-dollarization may occur in the world in the 21st century as India, Brazil, etc. grow stronger. On the other hand, China is facing big economic problems which could cause the dollar to rally as a safe haven. If de-dollarization occurs in the 21st century, it will likely happen slowly and in stages such as what happened to the British Pound.

::As a whole, central banks are buying gold due to global economic uncertainties, wars, trade tensions between China and USA/China, debt growing in countries, etc. They are smart to do this. And what country holds the most gold in the world? It is the USA! See: [[Essay: Gold reserves by country. The USA is still golden!]].
