I believe the idea of the fleet reaching the Americas is highly disputed. I am not an expert on Chinese history, but I am pretty sure that the fleet was more likely to have reached Africa than America. Jnl001 16:02, 22 May 2007 (EDT)
The vast majority of historians don't believe Zheng He went to the Americas. Only Gavin Menzes and his 1421 idea believes this, and is rejected by both Eastern and Western historians. Intranetusa 13:42, 16 March 2008 (EDT)
