Tom Carper, born January 23, 1947 (age 77), is a leftist Democratic Senator from Delaware. Mr. Carper served in the United States Navy (1968-1973), and in the Navy Reserve (1973 to present). His political career has included five terms as a Congressman and two terms as governor of Delaware. He was first elected to the U.S. Senate in 2000.
Admits to woman beating
Carper has confessed to woman beating in court papers.[1] Carper has ignored calls from Women Against Domestic Violence to resign.[2]
