The Toronto Raptors are a professional basketball team based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The Raptors were founded in 1995, when the NBA expanded to Canada, with another team formed in Vancouver, British Columbia; The Grizzlies. The Grizzlies would move to Memphis, Tennessee in 2001, leaving the Raptors as the only Canadian NBA Team. The Raptors have enjoyed more economic success than the Grizzlies, building a reputation for sellout crowds, but have not won a Championship or Conference Title, only advancing to the playoffs four times, and only winning the first round once, in 2000-01.

The Raptors play in the Atlantic Division of the Eastern Conference at the Air Canada Centre, also the home of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
