My Blocking Policy

I have a very straightforward policy on how I decide who to block. Obviously, I will block you if you violate our Commandments, but as I am not an administrator, I don't issue warnings about policy. This is a meritocracy and I'm still relatively new here, so it's not my place to discuss policy.

However, I normally operate on a two strike basis. If I feel you've violated some minor aspect of our site's policy, I will block you for a short time to get your attention. Consider this my version of a "warning." If you violate that or any other policy again, I will remove you from the site. Period. Any vandalism or other such destructive action will result in your immediate expulsion from the site, without question.

About Me

My name is Tyler Zoran, and I'm 34 years old and studying for my M.S.F. in international finance and my M.A. in Spanish. Conservapedia is my first venture into wiki software, but I'm hoping to make the best of it. I appreciate any input on how to improve my contributions, and I welcome discussion with any member about anything I feel I'm qualified to discuss (and I'm definitely willing to learn more). I agree with the sentiments of many editors on this site, however, that an open mind is crucial to any such conversation. My family has been in America for over 150 years, and I must say, I'm sick and tired of the swarms of illegals, gays, WHATEVER, storming our borders and perverting our country. God gave us the free will to fight back, and I hope we will soon. I know people listen to the MSM repeatedly and are willing to look the other way, but "It was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter" (Revelation 10:10). It might seem sweet... but the truth is bitter, and we need to fight it. I hope Conservapedia can lead this charge in taking back our brave nation. Even with the challenges facing us, I think our movement, Conservapedia especially, has already succeeded a great deal and has great potential to succeed much more. Why do you think people keep trying to vandalize the site? It's fear and lack of a legitimate argument! Just like a child throws a tantrum when confronted with a punishment, liberals throw a tantrum through vandalism. It's pathetic, really, but that's just my two cents. I've been visiting Conservapedia for over a year just reading over articles and talk pages and trying to gauge the site as a whole, and I think it has a great deal of potential (not to diminish everything that it's already accomplished! The Alexa search rankings alone prove that point well enough). Hopefully I can contribute in every way that I can. I am also a very devout copy editor, so it's not uncommon for me to randomly select pages and search for grammatical and linguistic errors. About My Name While I don't think anyone here has asked me about it, I thought I'd clarify for anyone what my name means, since I used to always get questions about it (my last name, at least). Apparently a last name starting with "Z" is just too cool for some people! Plus I'm personally always curious about the history behind names, so I figured I'd share mine, since I quite like it. :) Tyler - an English name, meaning something akin to "doorkeeper". Maybe not so glorious, but it was my grandfather's name and I'm proud to carry it. Michael - a Hebrew name, meaning "who is of God," or "who is like God?" Coming from family that's been Christian as far back as our genealogy records go (about 350 years, so quite a ways) this obviously references the Archangel Michael (or taxiarch for the Orthodox Christians among us). Once again, I'm happy to bear the name of the greatest Soldier of Christ. Zoran - a Slavic name, roughly translated to "the opening of day" or colloquially, "daybreak." It's a pretty common Serbian first name, but somewhere in the distant past it became my lineage's surname.

Countries I've Visited

Most of the countries I've visited, even though many for only a few days. I've traveled through most of Latin America for various events, jobs, projects, etc, and visited other places for brief periods. Still haven't made it to Antarctica though. I went to a public school for kindergarten and first grade, but my folks developed... problems, shall we say, with the curriculum, so my parents and older brother mostly taught me. A lot of math, technology, finance, etc... but not very much science, so PLEASE don't ask me chemistry questions. It just makes my head hurt. This user is proud to be an American citizen. This user was homeschooled, and never went to public school. I'm in Air Force ROTC right now, working towards a tech-oriented MOS, but I'm still up in the air about whether or not this is the branch for me. My dad was in the Marines, but his dad worked with planes in WWII, so we don't really have a tradition that pushes me any one way. This user is a member of the United States Air Force I'm really interested in technology, and I do run Linux pretty much all the time, except when I need a specific app (like Photoshop, Visual Studio, etc) that only runs on a Windows OS. I wouldn't say I'm a diehard Linux fan; growing up I could never afford to pay $200+ for a copy of Windows, hence... Linux! I code lightly in quite a few different languages, even though my favorites are actually Python and C++. I'm too young to remember President Reagan's time in office, but I know enough about business (me and the rest of us with brains :) to want less of Big Brother poking in my home and business and more free enterprise so those of us that don't win the lottery can still pursue happiness without cradle-to-grave infringements of our liberty. I can't take credit for it, but I staunchly agree with the sentiment. “I bought a bird feeder. I hung it on my back porch and filled it with seed. Within a week we had hundreds of birds taking advantage of the continuous flow of free and easily accessible food. But then the birds started building nests in the boards of the patio, above the table, and next to the barbeque. Then came the poop. It was everywhere: on the patio tile, the chairs, the table …… simply everywhere. Then some of the birds turned mean: They would dive bomb me and try to peck even though I had fed them out of my own pocket. And other birds were boisterous and loud: They sat on the feeder and squawked and screamed at all hours of the day and night and demanded that I fill it when it got low on food. After a while, I couldn’t even sit on my own back porch anymore. I took down the bird feeder and in three days the birds were gone. I cleaned up their mess and took down the many nests they had built all over the patio. Soon, the backyard was like it used to be…. quiet, serene and no one demanding their rights to a free meal. Now lets see….our government gives out free food, subsidized housing, free medical care, free education and allows anyone born here to be an automatic citizen. Then the illegals came by the tens of thousands. Suddenly our taxes went up to pay for free services; small apartments are housing 5 families: you have to wait 6 hours to be seen by an emergency room doctor: your child’s 2nd grade class is behind other schools because over half the class doesn’t speak English: Corn flakes now come in a bilingual box; I have to press “one” to hear my bank talk to me in English, and people waving flags other than “Old Glory” are squawking and screaming in the streets, demanding more rights and free liberties. Maybe it’s time for the government to take down the bird feeder?”
