Protection of pages

People are deleting my band! Please help me out! AFD Jack Of All Trades Billy M

Yes;_; Billy M

Dear Sharon,

In principle, I agree with you regarding protecting pages. However, with that being said I saw JoshuaZ unreasonably removing scholarly cautions regarding evolutionary ideas concerning planet formation. I believe he did that because he is unreasonable. Perhaps now that he has a higher profile in regards to supressing creationist criticisms he will stop doing it. I am not very hopeful regarding this matter based on my experiences with him at Wikipedia, however, although I would be pleasantly surprised if he does cease and desist. I wrote Aschafly about reconsidering his reversal of banning and I will see what his response is. With that being said I will try to temper my protecting of certain pages unless I see continued supression of creationist material. Conservative 15:34, 1 March 2007 (EST)conservative

Dear Sharon,

Your message to User "ILOVEJESUS" does not seem to have taken. He chopped out a portion of my Debate Topic on Infinite regression; of course I put my content back using the History feature. I also did not appreciate his calling what he did a "minor edit." Must I set my preferences to advise me of all changes, major or minor?--TerryH 23:46, 7 March 2007 (EST)

Thanks Sharon

Thoughtful of you to help. --Horace 20:10, 8 March 2007 (EST)

Ketchup addition

What a great addition: ketchup! I really, really enjoyed that News of the Day, Sharon. Thank you!

I'm still laughing about that, Sharon. Your point about ketchup is hilarious!--Aschlafly 15:15, 9 March 2007 (EST)

Julius Caesar

I notice on that article that the large majority of the information was copied, by you, from a lecture on CP. While this isn't really breaking any rules, it's a bit strange. Do you think you could reword it so that it doens't look like it was copypasted from a lecture? GofG 17:13, 11 March 2007 (EDT)

What is a lecture on CP"? What is CP? It's OK to copy from lectures on this site.--Aschlafly 17:15, 11 March 2007 (EDT)
I think CP is the abbreviation for Conservapedia. I did copy that information from a World History Lecture. I will try to break it down into sections and reword parts of it to make it more usable. ~ SharonS 16:52, 12 March 2007 (EDT)
That's fine to copy material from other areas of Conservapedia, including lectures. Nothing wrong with that at all!
I guess we have a new abbreviation now: CP!--Aschlafly 16:58, 12 March 2007 (EDT)

Thanks, Blocking policy

Sharon, thanks so much for your terrific blocks and edits. Feel free to use longer blocks for clear problems. Most of my blocks are for infinite duration, because I don't want problems to be coming back on expirations of short blocks. But I defer to your judgment. Thanks!--Aschlafly 16:47, 12 March 2007 (EDT)

OK. I will be using infinite blocks for major vandalism from now on. ~ SharonS 16:52, 12 March 2007 (EDT)

This afternoon

Thank goodness you're on. We need another sysop here, I've spent all afternoon reverting anti-Christian contributions. MountainDew 18:05, 13 March 2007 (EDT)

Thanks so much for all your work! ~ SharonS Talk! 18:08, 13 March 2007 (EDT)

I'd like to help if I can.

Please see my comment on User talk:Conservapedia Webmaster :-). --Ymmotrojam 21:30, 16 March 2007 (EDT)

Great new entries!

Sharon, great new entries! You've increased the new entries to 4,999! We'll pass 5,000 entries by noon Saturday. Congratulations!

Thank you! With the increased number of SYSOPs keeping vandalism under control, we have been gaining new articles rapidly over the past few days. ~ SharonS Talk! 11:11, 17 March 2007 (EDT)

If you would be so kind...

If you know how, I would love your help configuring my monobook.css (at User:Hojimachong/monobook.css) to make it look similar to the old layout. I'm just, way more familiar with the old layout, and think I will be more efficient while using it. Feel free to edit my monobook.css page, I'm pretty sure I made a really, really stupid mistake. Thanks! --Hojimachongtalk 13:30, 17 March 2007 (EDT)

Copying from wikipedia

Thought I'd pass this on to another sysop other than aschlafly for a change. The current article for Fox News Channel (Note, not the Fox News page) has LARGE elements lifted directly from wikipedia. I know that's a bad thing. Myk 18:24, 17 March 2007 (EDT)

If there is anything on that page, which I completely changed yesterday, and what I found was only like two paragraphs, it's because whatever is on Wikipedia was lifted from the sources I cited. I absolutely hate Wikipedia. --TK 08:23, 18 March 2007 (EDT)

Thank you so much for doing that rewrite! All of your contributions have been outstanding. ~ SharonS Talk! 08:26, 18 March 2007 (EDT)

Well, if they are that good, tell me how to add the little "talk" deal to my sig! :p --TK 08:30, 18 March 2007 (EDT)

  • Gosh, I copied exactly, and look what it does.  :-( --[[TK|TerryK([[User talk:TK|contact me]])]] 23:04, 18 March 2007 (EDT)

If you can, get hold of me, please. My email is listed to send messages to, so is my AIM. Thanks! --~ Terry Talk2Me! 08:11, 20 March 2007 (EDT)

Sharon, n/m, I figured out the text box on my talk page. --~ TerryK Talk2Me! 07:51, 21 March 2007 (EDT)

Fox News Channel

I have comepleted the re-do. Your suggestions are welcome. --TK 04:33, 18 March 2007 (EDT)

IRC

Greetings, Hojimachong,

Cracker and User:Linus M. have set up an IRC channel for Conservapedia at, originally enough, #conservapedia. Apparently you can send systemwide messages, so we would like you to assist us in getting the word out. Thanks!

Hello:) Thank you, I'm doing what I can. I'm sorry that I spelled some words wrong, but english is not my native language (swedish is a much different language). I would like to have this site in a swedish version, just as wikipedia got:)

Please take a look....

At the "Abuse" page, last item, "Abuse of sysop priviledge". [[1]] I posted there that I would ask a few other Sysop's to look at what they are talking about. Please don't rush, and consider the edits, etc. Your decision if you want to post there, what you think, or wherever. THANKS! Oh, and you can thank me later for this good turn, lol. --~ TerryK Talk2Me! 08:19, 23 March 2007 (EDT)

If an article is nominated, it will remain on the following list for seven days. In this time, it must recieve eight (8) endorsements (signatures) from users interested in improving the article. If you wish to endorse an article, please sign your name using four tildes (~~~~) BELOW the signatures already present. If you wish to add a comment regarding the nomination, create a fourth-level heading (====Heading Goes Here====) BELOW the signatures already in place. The date listed next to the nomination heading is the date by which the article must receive eight (8) endorsements. Or, I can just do it for you. I am off for the afternoon though (school musical, haircut, etc.), so I'll look for your info when I get back. Good luck! --Hojimachongtalk 16:39, 24 March 2007 (EDT)

THANK YOU very much for mediating the dispute between Conservative and myself. --Hojimachongtalk 16:17, 25 March 2007 (EDT)

All this fighting, publicly, only hurts the project. Can't Andrew clean up his page, and keep those public outings of our own off there? --~ TerryK MyTalk 17:50, 25 March 2007 (EDT)

New account request

Hi, Sharon. My name is Ed, and I've been at Conservapedia.com for about 6 days. I was given sysop rights today. I have 5 years experience at Wikipedia, where I was the first elected bureaucrat.

May I request a new user account for Samantha? She has volunteered to correct the grammar in NCFCA. I could email her a password, or you and she could discuss a possible new account by email.

She has made helpful comments at the #conservapedia IRC channel.

Thanks. --Ed Poor 19:24, 25 March 2007 (EDT)

Did she email you yet? --Ed Poor 14:37, 28 March 2007 (EDT)
