The Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) is a political communist party in North Korea which was founded in 1949. There are two other parties the Korean Social Democratic Party and the Chondoist Chongu Party. Those parties are supporting the Workers` Party of Korea. The WPK is not a marxist-leninist party. It supports the Juche-Ideology of the former dictator Kim Il-sung. The son of Kim Il-Sung Kim Jong-Il was from 1994 to his death 2011 the authoritarian leader of North Korea. Now his son Kim Jong-un rules the country.
