Yon Goicoechea
From Conservapedia
Yon Goicoechea is a Venezuelan law student and political activist whose leadership of his country's pro-democracy student movement during the 2007 constitutional referendum campaign is credited with preventing the dictatorial leftist President Hugo Chavez from concentrating even more political power in his own hands. Despite intimidation and violence - he suffered a broken nose when beaten up by Chavez thugs at a public meeting - Goicoechea continues to speak out against the erosion of freedom in Venezuela. His efforts have been recognised internationally by the award of the 2008 Milton Friedman Prize by the CATO Institute.
