Yulia Tymoshenko (born November 27, 1960) is a Ukrainian politician. In the tenure of Viktor Yushchenko, she was the prime minister of Ukraine in 2005 and from 2007 to 2010. After Viktor Yanukovych took power, Tymoshenko was arrested in case of Corruption. She became an icon of Ukrainian opposition.[1] As a result of protests Yanukovych was overthrown and Tymoshenko was released from prison.[2] Tymoshenko runned for president in May 2014, but got only 13%. Petro Poroshenko was the winner of election.[3]

She had good ties with former First Lady and US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.[4]

Tymoshenko always supports Ukrainian membership of NATO and European Union.[5]

Yulia Tymoshenko is generally regarded as a conservative and has built relationships with Donald Trump.[6]
