Eminem is the stage name of the popular rapper Marshall Bruce Mathers III. Born October 17, 1972 (age 53), Mathers grew up in Warren, Michigan. Praised by liberals,[1] public school dropout Eminem has dumbed down music to new lows, if his work can even be called music.
He is promoted for his rap music, which includes frequent usage of profanity, drug references, and sexual content. His lyrics are commonly praised by easily amused liberals for their moronic subject matter, dimwitted rhyme schemes, usage of multisyllabic rhymes, pedestrian rhythms, and syncopation.[2] His "work" is often criticized by conservatives, liberals, and feminists as violent, homophobic, and misogynistic. To the thrill of liberals, he shared the stage with the openly bisexual Elton John at the 2001 Grammy Awards, in what was described as "the hug heard round the world" by Entertainment Weekly.[3]

Personal Life
Mathers' personal life is well known because of his public persona and a frequent topic in his music, most notably his relationship with Kimberly Anne Scott. The couple met in high school, and began a troubled relationship in 1989. The two married in 1999, but divorced two years later[4]. Subsequently, Mathers recorded several violent songs, including Kim, and '97 Bonnie & Clyde, with lyrics about murdering Kim. However, Mathers has stated that his music was a form of artistic release and was not to be taken literally. The two reconciled and remarried in 2006, but filed for divorce again less than three months later.[5] Mathers also has shared custody of Hailie Jade Scott, his biological daughter, and Alaina, whom he adopted from Kim Scott's sister.
