Op. Rising Lion, was a prolonged defensive operation against genocidal Islamic Fascist Republic of Iran hell-bent on getting nukes (and repeatedly threatneing annihilating Israel, for decades) on the early morning of June 13, 2025,[1][2] by Israel. The operation aimed at thwarting Iran’s nuclear program.

The operation

The operation began with an attack carried out by Israeli security forces on June 13, 2025, targeting Iran.

In the initial phase of the Israeli operation, Israeli forces targeted and killed several high-ranking officials within Iran’s security establishment, including the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Hossein Salami, and the Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Mohammad Bagheri. Additionally, senior nuclear scientists were eliminated during this stage.

The second phase of the operation focused on major Iranian nuclear infrastructure, with airstrikes targeting uranium enrichment facilities, research sites, support infrastructure, and command centers, including installations in Natanz, Parchin, and Fordow. Concurrently, Israel also struck ballistic missile depots, development and launch sites, as well as locations associated with Hezbollah and pro-Iranian Shiite militias in Syria and Iraq. These included forward operating bases previously used for launching attacks against Israel. The aerial campaign was integrated with precision cyberattacks, disrupting Iran's command, control, and early warning systems, temporarily disabling air defense networks, and severing communications among regime leadership.

In retaliation, Iran launched a large-scale firing of hundreds of ballistic missiles and approximately 1,000 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) targeting randomly within Israel. The attacks resulted in the deaths of dozens of Israeli civilians, left hundreds wounded, and caused widespread property damage. The Iranian proxy Houthi Jihadists, which had been involved taking advantage since the outset of the Iron Swords War also participated in the offensive.

Israel continued its aerial campaign, targeting additional Iranian nuclear facilities, fuel and oil depots (citation needed), and eliminating further high-ranking Iranian security officials using fighter jets and explosive drones. These strikes reportedly resulted in hundreds of fatalities, including civilians.

On the night between June 21 and 22, the United States joined the operations in what it called Midnight Hammer, with B-2 bombers striking Iran’s Fordow nuclear facility, as well as additional targets in Natanz and Isfahan.

In the last hours of Israeli operations, it hit IRGC facilities, notorious Evin torture-prison for critics of the Islamic Fascist regime and eliminated hundreds of Basij.

On June 24, Trump, President of the United States announced that Israel and Iran had agreed to a ceasefire, set to take effect at 07:00 AM (Israel time).

Despite that, the Islamic Republic did fire 5 salves onto Israeli residents murdering additional 5 injuring dozens after 7:00 AM. Then, hours later, Iran launched a ballistic missile at Israel, violating the ceasefire. Some say, Qatari asked Trump to tell Israel to hold off responding to Iran.

The name

The name Rising Lion is Biblically based:

Numbers 23:24:

Behold, a people that rises like a lioness and raises itself like a lion.

Bibi's 'Am KeLavi' note at Kotel. 6.12.25

With a Note and a Whisper, Netanyahu Set the Stage. ‘Rise Like a Lion’: Netanyahu’s Prophetic Message Before Iran Attack Leaves Israelis Stunned.

In a moment filled with symbolism and quiet intensity, Prime Minister Netanyahu made a powerful gesture at the Western Wall just hours before a major military operation was launched.

Netanyahu’s note to G-d echoed across the headlines the next day as the Israeli Air Force carried out its boldest operations in Iran to date. For supporters, the act underscored the fusion of faith, history, and strength that often guides Israeli leadership during moments of high tension.

The launch of Operation “Am K’Lavi” was not merely a tactical move it was a statement. And in hindsight, Netanyahu’s visit to the Kotel wasn’t just a prayer. It was a message of defiance, unity, and national purpose quietly spoken before the roar of fighter jets filled the skies.[5]
