Adam John Tassin, Jr. (born October 14, 1944), is a physician in Ville Platte in Evangeline Parish, Louisiana,[1] who from 1972 to 1976 represented Allen, Avoyelles, and Evangeline parishes in the state senate as a Democrat.[2]
Tassin (pronounced TASS IN) is a son of Adam Tassin, Sr. (1899-1972), and the former Elda Marie Maillet (1904-1980), who are interred at Saint Peters Catholic Church Cemetery and Mausoleum in Bordelonville in Aavoyelles Parish.[3] In 1969, Tassin graduated from the Louisiana State University School of Medicine In New Orleans. He is a family practice specialist.[4].
He was preceded in his Senate term by Dr. Ranson K. Vidrine and succeeded by John Saunders, both also Democrats.[2]
