- Aladdin and His Wonderful Lamp was the third and final of three Popeye special extended-length shorts (with a run time of over 16 minutes each) to be produced by Fleischer Studios, and was also produced in color (most Popeye shorts of the time were filmed in black-and-white, which continued into the Famous Studios era until the release of Her Honor the Mare in 1943).
